Monday, May 3, 2021 - Ordered a mixed case of 2019 chardonnays from Seth after being very impressed by the couple 2018 bottles I sampled. This Eola-Amity Hills bottling is a blend of 50% Seven Springs vineyard and 50% X Omni vineyard. Consumed from a Grassl Cru glass.

Flint/matchstick on the nose, leading into lime zest, underripe Granny Smith apple, ginger, mint, and crushed rocks. With some air (Seth told me to decant, but I already had the wine in the glass), more lemon/lime oil and baking spice notes waft from the glass. The wine is bright on the palate, with shimmering acidity, yet delicate and fades gently with citrus flavors over a long finish. My first go at the 2019 Morgen Long wines, can't wait to try the rest.
