Sunday, January 18, 2009 - This wine is certainly drinkable, but the green vegetal on the nose is overwhelming, even after a decant. There are good layers of fruit on the palate, but it's hard to get to it. Drank @ party with a 2000 Chimney Rock Reserve Cab and a 2000 Burgess Enviere (Napa Bordeaux Blend) and this wine collapsed in comparison. It is an average wine from a bad vintage. This wine from both the '99 and '01 vintages is excellent, but this bottle from 2000 drinks like a $15 South American Cab, not a $60 Napa Cab.
