  • Ok but a bit beyond peak. Decant for at least an hour first.

  • Wow, Great bottle of 2000 napa cab. 15% alcohol is a hint that this was extracted from ripe fruit. Great earthy nose with just an occasional hint of mushroom or truffle amid cooked fruit. Excellent fruit still on the front an mid palette. Soft tannins still present. this would have lasted a bit longer. But a great wine for an evening of relaxation on the porch watching the sunset. Still have a bit of a buzz. wish it wasn't my last bottle. Overall great bottle of wine. I think 2000 has gotten a bad rap if you have been able to let it lay down until now. It is showing it chops.

  • WoW what a nice bottle, wish I had more. Opened and ran it through a filter into a decanter for about an hour. dark in the decanter with a very nice rich floral nose. In the glass the nose was very fragrant, with dark fruit jumping, and a nice floral component. On the palate the tannins were still kicking, but not overpowering. What a nice bottle, went well with Rib-Eyes.

  • I was afraid I had waited to long to drink this; now I'm glad I have another left. This was superb! And excellent nose, dark purple color and rich taste with tannins remaining on the finish. I've overwritten the drink-by date for the other bottle to 2014.

  • One of the best wines I've ever tasted. Brilliant fruit, with elegant structure and
    silky, velvety mouth feel.

  • Much better than my last bottle, which must have been an aberration b/c there is no green vegetal in this bottle. It was a pop and pour and good black fruit from the beginning thru the mid-palate. Agree with the description of graphite and blackberry on the nose. Tannins still hanging in there and sweet. This bottle reminds me of the '99 bottling, which is a real treat considering this 2000 vintage overall.

  • This wine is certainly drinkable, but the green vegetal on the nose is overwhelming, even after a decant. There are good layers of fruit on the palate, but it's hard to get to it. Drank @ party with a 2000 Chimney Rock Reserve Cab and a 2000 Burgess Enviere (Napa Bordeaux Blend) and this wine collapsed in comparison. It is an average wine from a bad vintage. This wine from both the '99 and '01 vintages is excellent, but this bottle from 2000 drinks like a $15 South American Cab, not a $60 Napa Cab.

  • The nose is blackberry and graphite. The flavors are muted but blackberry and currant still hang in there. This wine is still very tanic. Drink up.

  • A little green, good body. More tannic than the typical 2000 vintage wines
