Friday, July 23, 2021 - Still looks young visually, with an opaque centre and some slight bricking at the edge. Nose shows some dried leaves and forest floor along with bright red fruits. The palate is showing some integration as red fruits are supported by healthy but not excessive acidity. There is some tannic grip on the medium length finish. 12.5% alcohol keeps it light and vibrant. While this was a challenging vintage, this wine lives up to what a Beaune 1er Cru should be. Start to enjoy it now or age 2-4+ years for additional maturity.
