Monday, July 26, 2021 - Day 2 sample from Heymamalow. Drank in Conterno Sensory.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, garnet colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of wet soil, leaf litter earth, minerals, dried rose petals, dried cherry. Developed.
On the plate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), resolved medium tannin, medium body. edium flavour intensity, with flavours of gentle sweet spice, savoury earth, salty minerals, dried red cherries, red plum, citrus orange peel, damp soil + decaying leaves. Gentle long finish with tart red fruit.
Very good quality. Has a certain aged charm to it, though personally I feel like I could have appreciated it more 3-4 years ago.
