Sunday, August 8, 2021 - Purchaser at a corner market with a decent wine selection in San Francisco. Back vintage, but took a shot given the price.
Elegant, cool climate style of Syrah. Peppery and floral nose, herb, dark chocolate, raspberry palate. Very fine tannins, balanced acidity, rounded mid palate, good length to the finish.
Day 2 fell apart. So seems a good one to drink in the near term with a bit of air. Not a bruiser, will please Pinot drinkers more than those seeking a Cab replacement.
