Saturday, September 11, 2021 - Alcohol and blackberry with plum on the nose. Palate is very fruit forward with blackberry, black plum and some boysenberry compote. Med+ acidity and low tannin. Medium length fruity finish. Very simple flavor profile with lots of fruity character. The oak has not integrated well and there is a touch of residual sugar. Too much fruit to pair well with the home-made Pepperoni pizza we paired it with. A cocktail wine through and through. The good acidity saves the day here. Decent QPR for a Napa Chiles Valley Cab at the $20/btl paid for a half case from a flash site. Could be a better drinking experience in a year, or two more of bottle age.
