Thursday, September 23, 2021 - Three hour double decant. Drank a small glass. A deep ruby core fading to a deep garnet outer edge. Still an absolute baby and nowhere near reaching its zenith, which will come decades from now once the structural elements soften, it gains greater complexity, and develops those wonderful tertiary characteristics ages Barolo exhibit so brilliantly. Still a pleasure to drink in its youth with ripe black fruits, crushed wild berries, vanilla-infused black cherries, tar, pine needles, and aged balsamic.
