Monday, October 11, 2021 - Almost rancio initially. It really marks more of a solera sort of wine though the notes I see only claim 10% reserve wines. Also some cream and wood on the nose. That solera effect helps make this very vinous on the palate. Good drive and nice texture, particularly towards the finish. I could find not good evidence of disgorgement but given this is supposed to be a base 2015 wine I would think its within the last two years. Or maybe further back if its really 90% vintage. I'd like that wood to integrate a bit more but overall this is a wine of strong skill. I'm guessing in a better vintage its a good deal better with some more fruit oomph.
