A similarly dark color, with more earth and meat. This is progressing nicely, although still young. Beautifully clear grenache, with raspberry an dcherry essence, anise, rare meats, provencal herbs. this wine is brilliantly clear and has levels on levels of flavor. This wine is young, but in very beautiful place right now. More evolved and complex than the '06 in its evolution. Still with great balance, and clarity. Wonderful texture and old vine grenache sap on this wine. I'd call the fruit kirsch, but only as it relates to depth, this is not hot at all, just a pure intensity reduction of cherries and some raspberry, while maintaining great freshness and purity. This has it all, garrigue, meats, fruit, and length. A fantastic bottle of wine, and while the 06 may eclipse it some day, today it is flat out fantastic and a wine I could spend a day with, hell probably even take it home to meet mom and dad. 96pts
