Monday, October 18, 2021 - (Mostly) Barolo night (Frank's place in Matraville): From Coravin. Aromas of tomato and tomato leaf, savoury spice, pot pourri, leather, earthy, slight forest floor and meaty notes, with time and agitation some pretty black hued fruits (including plum and cherry) starts to show with a creamy backing and a hint of tobacco leaf. Medium plus intensity acidity, meaty and savoury, tannins encroach almost immediately, the fruit shouldered aside by this gritty bully backed by alcohol warmth.
