Sunday, December 5, 2021 - This pours light garnet in the glass with medium bricking. The nose is transitional old school and complex showing dried orange peel, iron, pepper, old leather, herbs de Provence, dried currants, dried cherries and only a vague touch of the overripe raisin fruit you sometimes get in the southern rhone. The palate features medium minus tannin that has been nicely sanded down over time and medium plus, bright berry and orator peel tinged acid. The finish isn’t terribly long but replays dried cherries, leather and dried herbs. Lovely wine that is really a strong representation of quality aged CdP.
