Monday, December 6, 2021 - Intronizzation Night for Rhone (Lafayette): When we first learned about this wine we heard that it is lovely in its youth and then it basically disappears for 10-15 years and eventually comes back. We bought a few bottles of this vintage a few years ago and it was totally in that shut down phase and have never known when it would be safe to bring it back. Seems like the time is now. This was drinking very well. The Chave blancs are nice but to me there is something about the old vine Roussane on it's own that is just special. Honey and kindof a fleshy white peach note. Super tasty.
