Tuesday, December 21, 2021 - A good wine, but for my taste, way too young to open. 2025+ It will be a good value if you have free storage. For me, I shall buy when it is almost ready in 2024. 91-93 potential

It's an interesting topic. I buy lower priced wines to lay down, particularly when they are truly age-worthy and there's uncertainty as to availability years from now. I think this wine should have solid availability even five years out.

That said, most professional wine storage comes out to about $1-$2/btl/yr. I pay a bit under $400/yr per locker storing ~300+ bottles - high density, not for frequent access. So call it $1.25/yr. I bought this wine for $24 + tax = ~$26 a couple years ago. A bottle I drink 5-6 years from now will have cost $9 - $10 to store (nominal, no discounting). So $36 all-in. Seems fair to me, even if some will find it silly to lay down sub-$50 bottles.
