Wednesday, February 2, 2022 - Surprised by the lowish scores here because this was drinking so well. Dark in color and only the lighter rim belied it’s age. Intense on both the palate and the nose. Dark fruit, pencil lead and tobacco. Long finish. Love this vintage.

2/9/2022 8:48:00 PM - I think maybe Haut Bailly confuses people? Maybe a little unfamiliar style to it? Made more for aging than so many others, IMO. And they do seem to go through some funny stages where they can come apart a bit and not show well, before gathering themselves coming back together into these nicely focused wines.
