Wednesday, February 9, 2022 - At the time of tasting this bottle and the other reds had been open for around 7 hours. Second red wine is the 2018 Stone Place which has been aged for 20 months in 90% new French oak. Deep purplish red. Tons of baking spices on the attack of the nose with vanilla and cinnamon, followed up by lavender and cassis. A touch of green in the undertone. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) with a full body. Smooth and well rounded with blackberries and light spices. Long finish. Drink till 2035.
