Monday, March 7, 2022 - Mostly Spanish at Famous Treasure: Clearly identifiable as a classic old Rioja. The nose reminded me of the 1968 LRA I tried last year but tasted marginally younger, so guessed 1980s for this. Guess better producers age more glacially. Tannins have mellowed and softened, the oak has faded into the background but the fruit was in no danger of fading. Nevertheless it's hard to see this getting any better so drink up.
