Wednesday, April 20, 2022 - Early dinner gathering (Blacksalt, Washington DC): Still showing pale color which is not surprising. Beautifully mature nose displaying concentrated white and yellow fruit, lemon curd, lemon oil, pear, strong petrol, lanoline, honeysuckle, smoke, white pepper and limestone. Excellent concentration, finely layered concentrated rich white fruit, generous and oily yet but also good focus and energy, medium acidity, strong mineral and a long concentrated white fruit driven finish with lanoline and limestone at the end. As usual, despite the rich concentrated fruit, the finish is unbelievably dry. The style of Clos St Hune is always unique. I find some similarity with Cotat Sanceres. Really enjoyable.
