Monday, March 2, 2009 - Wine Education Service Chateauneuf du Pape Tasting (LSE, London): Looking its age now, lots of browning throughout the glass. Nose is extremely vegetal, with compost heap aromas to the fore. Some floral and minerality too. Palate is nicely soft, just about enough fruit. Quite delicate but lacks any real depth through the finish. Certainly on its plateau and slightly disappointing.
