Saturday, May 7, 2022 - Lots of age in the appearance, tremendous clarity, you can see straight through it. Dried herbs, balsamic, iron, dry undergrowth and barbecued meat. Sweet cured meat, Parma ham or something on the attack, giving way to kirsch and over ripe or baked red berries on the mid palette, and more barbecue on the finish. More typical of the appellation than the 2003 that we had a few weeks ago. Also wonderful.
