Monday, March 16, 2009 - Spectacularly good for $12.99 + 3 years in the cellar. Aromas of violets, black tea, char and plums. Still fairly drying on the tongue, so it must have been a challenge in its youth. Now meaty and plummy flavors, with silky, well-integrated tannins and a cedar note in the finish. That meatiness is delicious, like rare steak. Have no idea what others are talking about. This was nebbiolo at its affordable best.
