Friday, July 29, 2022 - Drinking this made me reflect that what I want in a Chianti Classico might see easy on paper, but is somewhat challenging to actually find it. On one hand, of course I want quality, the usual wine attributes of fruit / acid / aromatics / structure in overall harmony. No Kidding Sherlock. But with a CC, I don’t want this to go too far on the other side as to loose what I love about CC in the first place. That is, bright red cherry fruit, florals, perhaps a touch of leather, and snappy acidity. This a long winded way of saying this 16 CC was terrific and contains exactly what I love about this grape and place. Delicious.
