Thursday, July 28, 2022 - Mostly Giacosa dinner (RPM Italian, Washington D.C.): Medium expressive nose displaying very ripe yellow fruit, lemon curd, baked apple, honeysuckle, honey, spicy spices and mineral. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of concentrated ripe yellow fruit, sweet, dense and deeply toned, bright acidity, medium mineral, and a medium to long ripe yellow fruit driven finish with honey at the end. With air, it gets fresher and more precise, starting to show fresh lemon. It is sort of unfair to be served next to the 07 Carillon BBM.
