Wednesday, August 3, 2022 - I've liked some wines from Souhaut in the past, but the '18 Syrah is a bit much for me. The nose was quite nice although clearly natural and pretty wild with olive tapenade, blueberry and black fruit, smoked meats, and spices. On the palate, the wine is super acidic with blue and purple fruit and olive brine and some herbal flavors. It's an aggressive wine on the palate, almost painfully acidic.
