Friday, August 5, 2022 - Decanted. Deep, purple-garnet color, mostly opaque with bright ruby edges. Aromas of smoked plum & blackberry compote, fresh violets & garrigue, melted stone, bay leaf & black tea. Bold on the palate, plenty of expression, hints of freshness, black fruit with hints of blue. Savory depth of wild herbs, stony soil, paprika and clove spices. Elegant, rounded edges and palate-filling, with enough acid to frame its richness. Closes with broad ripe tannins a warm spicy length. Broad and ripe with good balance, and drinking very well.
