Saturday, August 13, 2022 - Just lovely. Ethereal finish, all the elements of a great Cali chard but none of the overwrought, overheated flaws that so often seem to go hand in hand with good Cali chardonnay. Truly in a class of its own outside of Burgundy. My biggest question is whether the extraordinary cost is worth it compared to really good stuff in Burgundy. But such a pleasure. Wonderful to enjoy last night of the summer in Avalon.
