Saturday, August 20, 2022 - My first wine from this modern producer. First vintage was released just at 2007, its a blend of CS 40%, Syrah 40% and 20% Merlot, aged for 16 months in FR oak barrels, 20% new. Medium intensity aroma of cherries, balsamic, plums, tobacco, vanilla, dried herbs, hints of undergrowth and earth. Medium+ body, concentrated and persistent with well built structure, mid palate showing great length and depth of flavour - smoky red fruits, pinch of dried herbs, firm tannins especially tightens at lengthy finish.
