  • Nice to be back tasting this vintage once more after two years. Made from a blend of CS 40%, Syrah 40% and 20% Merlot, aged for 16 months in FR oak barrels, 20% new. Deep ruby colour. Medium+ intensity aroma of dusty cherries, leather, plums, sweet tobacco, vanilla, dry earth, plums, touch of mint and medicinal drawer. Medium+ body, rich, broad, well structured, red fruits, tobacco, medium acidity, medium+ tannins.

  • Showing beautifully right now. Earthy notes mingling with dark stone fruit and blackberry aromas. Discernible tannins. This wine has aged well.

  • My first wine from this modern producer. First vintage was released just at 2007, its a blend of CS 40%, Syrah 40% and 20% Merlot, aged for 16 months in FR oak barrels, 20% new. Medium intensity aroma of cherries, balsamic, plums, tobacco, vanilla, dried herbs, hints of undergrowth and earth. Medium+ body, concentrated and persistent with well built structure, mid palate showing great length and depth of flavour - smoky red fruits, pinch of dried herbs, firm tannins especially tightens at lengthy finish.

  • Cork was in good shape, a little stained at the bottom. Decanted for one hour. Good ripe red toned fruit/berries, a bit of mint and some toasted and oaky notes on the nose. Medium to full bodied on the palate, showing rather vibrant red toned ripe berries, a bit of tannic grip but tannins are resolving, some floral or perfumy notes, but there is also a bitter/harsh flavor on the finish. Felt overall still quite youthful with years to go but a bit disjointed. 86.
Second day notes after 24h in the fridge: More earthy notes, smoother, more balanced with less of the harsh flavor on the finish. 88.

  • Dunkles Rot, wunderbar trinkreif. Wenig, aber reife Tannen, der Cabernet Franc kräuterig, der Merlot schokoladig. Allenfalls aber medium body Nicht mehr länger liegen lassen.
