Wednesday, July 15, 2020 - Decanted three hours. While this is still a tannic beast, it stood up like a champ to Thai food, the luscious, pure Rutherford fruit coming through loud and clear along with notes of black tea, mocha, and spice. I definitely recommend drinking with food. I'm not sure the tannins in this vintage will calm down before the fruit starts to fade. People who dislike aggressive tannins will score much lower.
