  Notitie grotendeels consistent met die van 17 december 2020. Stoere powerwijn, verleidelijk, krachtig en prachtig gebalanceerd.

  Kleur: Diep opaak donkerrood, net als in2019 zonder spoor van verkleuring aan de randen. Aroma / bouquet: Ook nu presenteert deze wijn zich in eerste instantie stuivend en expressief, boordvol donker fruit, vlezig, krachtig en stoer. Smaak / Afdronk: Klaboem. Dit is Cabernet die onmogelijk afkomstig kan zijn uit de 'oude wereld'. Dit is een explosie aan smaakindrukken, gematigde zuurgraad. Geweldig krachtig en geconcentreerd, tegelijkertijd zacht en verleidelijk. Retronasale indrukken van donker fruit, zacht zoete drop, zacht zoete soja en melkchocola. Algemeen / potentieel: In 2019 nog vooral een eetwijn, op dit moment eten èn drinken tegelijkertijd. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 13 + Smaak / Afdronk: 18 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 95/100

  Decanted three hours. While this is still a tannic beast, it stood up like a champ to Thai food, the luscious, pure Rutherford fruit coming through loud and clear along with notes of black tea, mocha, and spice. I definitely recommend drinking with food. I'm not sure the tannins in this vintage will calm down before the fruit starts to fade. People who dislike aggressive tannins will score much lower.

  Kleur: Diep opaak donkerrood zonder verkleuring aan de randen. Aroma / bouquet: Direct na het openen van deze fles leek het bouquet stuivend en zeer uitgesproken. Na een uur lijkt de wijn meer ingetogen. Donker fruit. Kruidig. Smaak / Afdronk: In de mond maakt deze wijn een veel meer uitmuntende indruk. Een gematigde zuurgraad. Mooi gerijpte maar tegelijkertijd nog krachtige en flink robuuste tannines. Indrukwekkende concentratie, dik-sappig. Lange afdronk. Algemeen / potentieel: Zeer indrukwekkende powerwijn. In dit stadium nog vooral een 'eetwijn' die met vlees of kaas zijn net tè stoere karakter laat varen. Maar desondanks een heerlijke en briljant gemaakte wijn. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 11 + Smaak / Afdronk: 18 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 93/100

  Extremely tight and tannic even after 3 hours decanting. Huge and almost clumsy style that has the structure to pull it off. Highly extracted blueberry, vanilla, and cassis liqueur. Leathery red fruit and exotic spice bring it back in on the finish. Has 5 more years until it hits the peak. Needs to be strained as it throws off a lot of sediment.
