Friday, December 17, 2010 - Deep garnet color. Nose of blackberry, leather, a hint of game and mineral. Touch of effervescence upon opening, which vanished after three hours in the decanter. Black fruit, spice, pepper, and a little black truffle. Great balance letting the mountain fruit reveal itself over time as the wine opened. Just enough oak to soften it and give it a rich mouthfeel. An outstanding wine and a spectacular value.
