Tuesday, March 8, 2011 - "Oh, wow." Classic syrah color and feel. Splash decanted into pie plate decanter. At cellar temp, bacon, leather, tobacco, pencil, and some forest floor. Somewhat thin initially. Layers build in the glass as the tannins blossom. And boy does it blossom. Flowers, earth, and the bacon continues, which I love. Reminds me of a Big Basin but at half the price or less. Phenomenal.
