Tuesday, December 31, 2013 - Fantastic and rich. Aromas of dark fruit, tea, violets erupted as the cork was pulled. This is heady stuff, owing in part to the various sourced fruit. Some fat and green pepper compliment the fruit. A distinct floral note on the nose, leading me to assume there is a splash of viognier; however, Bedrock's description of the wine makes no mention of it. In any case, this is quite different from a bottle opened a coupe of years ago, being more complex and integrated.
