Thursday, December 9, 2010 - Deep garnet with tawny rim, slightly hazy and with a browinish rim. Nose was fully oxidised but still had an appeal. In the mouth the oxidation was still evident but was accompanied by ripe fruit like figs and prunes along with leathery notes and chocolate. Almost full bodied, sweet and with resolved tannins. I am sure it was a faulty bottle, the wine apart from oxidation had real sunstance.
