  • Past its best and slightly oxidized but much more drinkable than the other bottles. Dark garnet colored. Nose of a mature wine with aromas of mushrooms, damp earth and macerated dark fruit. Has enough concentration to withstand a little oxidation and fruit on the palate is remarkable for its age. Tannins are resolved but there seems to be a quite high acidic bacbone. Velvety texture, feels like old cognac on the mouth. Long finish.

  • Some brett evident but overwhelmed by spices, medicinal aromas together with some hints of toast. Fading fruit. Fresher in palate with still energetic acidity and medium- chewey tannins. Balanced and elegant.

  • For me expectations were high but the wine was oxidised. Palate was nervy with high acidity and elegant medium weight mouthfeel with remnants of fruit but everything was marred by oxidation...

  • Deep garnet with tawny rim, slightly hazy and with a browinish rim. Nose was fully oxidised but still had an appeal. In the mouth the oxidation was still evident but was accompanied by ripe fruit like figs and prunes along with leathery notes and chocolate. Almost full bodied, sweet and with resolved tannins. I am sure it was a faulty bottle, the wine apart from oxidation had real sunstance.
