Tuesday, May 31, 2016 - [purchased on release, perfect fill, tasted over 2.5 hours with regular tasting group, allowed to warm up from ~ 45F to ~ 70F]. Pale yellow color, nose could only be white Burgundy; lots of complex elements in nose including ripe fruit, oak, oil/petrol; on palate long, all the above plus some butterscotch (no age-related caramel this evening), touch of lemon zest, lots of minerals. WOTN just edging out 2005 H. Boillot Corton-Charlie (8 wines total, none showed premox). This bottle took 40 minutes in glass and some warming to really sing, I think still could age another 2-5 years and see some improvement. Excellent with gravlax. Delighted to have another 5 bottles.

Definitely NOT a too ripe fruit+too much oak bomb of a wine. No honeyed elements tasted at all this evening. Believe I paid ~ $50 a bottle on release, excellent QPR (well, for C-C) given showing at this tasting.
