Saturday, August 1, 2020 - Mmmm!! Just a great bottle of aged Brunello. Thirty-minute decant. Complex aromas of tobacco, cough drop, black cherry, and roasted pepper. Was evolving minute-by-minute in the glass. Lots of dark red fruits in the mouth with a still-solid tannic structure that provided pops of brightness. Plenty of earthy minerality, too. Long, mouth-coating finish. A fine balance of soil, sun, and fruit. Probably won't improve much from here but should stay at this level for a little bit longer. Really excellent stuff.
