Thursday, November 25, 2021 - Opened my last of 12 of the Tenuta Nuova to celebrate this Thanksgiving.... What better day to bid "farewell" to this old friend?

Magnificent bottle. Detailed notes to come.....

Deep red with dark core and clear in the glass. Some bricking at the edges. Wonderful nose with dark chocolate, berries, dried violets, balsamic, mint, and faint earthy truffle. Same notes on palate supported by still a very powerful and intense structure. Alcohol, acid, and tannins all in balance and working in harmony. Long expansive finish.

As good it it was, this bottle would have improved over the next 5-10 yrs.

A king among kings.
