Very impressive, expressive broad dark ripe blackberry fruits with black spice and acid brightness with a nice supportive chew. Cool slate minerality throughout an expression of purity and density with a special breed and elegance. Coffee, tobacco, cedar, and Old world meets new world in the best way. In a great place now, but likely holds.

First very expressive nose, with chocolate and coffee, later vanilla and darker fruit i cant identifiy. Palate is at the same time smooth and pretty powerfull with lovely sweet fruit ending in a nice, but a little dry finish.
I dont want to be misunderstood since i dont like notions on how a wine from a certain area should taste. This is a "new world" and modern Brunello and if you think this is 100 p., great for you. But for me this doesnt have the complexity of what i consider to be a great Brunello, like Poggione 2015, with a symphony of cherry flavors. But its anyway a delicious wine.

My last of these beauties. So much power, along with a sweet core of blue fruit, licorice and anise, lead pencil. Captivating, complete and otherworldly. Easily my favorite Brunello of all time. The '06 has the same house style of so many other vintages of this, but it just fires on all cylinders. The '99 in similar in many ways, but has faded, whereas the '06 still sings perfectly. The '10 may be another contender, but needs more time.
Aged BdM deliciousness from a wonderful producer and a wine with 10-15 years in it's drinking window. Dried red cherry, dusty cracked leather, tobacco, smoke, truffle, dark fruits.

2 hour decant. No sediment. One of my best bottles. This producer is very frustrating, with huge bottle variation, but thankful for this bottle. Lovely extracted black fruits, smokey tar and mushrooms, spice, cedar. Smooth but a huge mouthful of density.
