Saturday, February 16, 2019 - (Half-blind Le Moine tasting)
Full, generous and rich nose. Chocolate and coffee from oak. Dark fruit, smoky minerality and some bacon notes. Iron and blood. Blueberry. Deep and complex.
Medium-fullish, still tannic palate. Quite tough and powerful. Very spicy with asian 5-spice coming along nicely after time in glass. Generous and rich with a lot of upside.
Clearly one of the favorites in the line-up. Perhaps lacking a bit of elegance for Vosne, but then again Suchots can be slightly rustic if one follows the litterature.
