Friday, February 21, 2014 - This will go down as one of the best village level Burgundy I ever had. Drank during a dinner of 12 at a high end Chinese restaurant in Asia hosted by a local friend. Everybody loved this wine. Medium ruby. Expressive, floral nose of red fruit with spices and a hint of toast, classical Burg. On the palate soft and elegant, very caressing with good mid mouth feel especially for this level. Beautiful and complex aromas. A real winner and still affordable. Congratulations to the Mugneret-Gibourg team! Ready now.
PS: This confirms my experience in village level Burgundy. Stay away from it unless it is a top year AND a top producer
