Friday, December 13, 2019 - At ten years, this seems to be in the latter stages of development. Clear medium ruby, still needs a decant for the aromatics to start showing through. Medium body and alcohol. Well balanced, and complex: upfront, dirty earth laden forest floor, herbal tea, ripe cherry, raspberry, and strawberry, all underscored with a nicely integrated tannic and acidic structure. Smooth and elegant mouthfeel. Long, dry intense finish. Enjoyed with a baked chicken pot pie. Should continue to evolve and cellar for another 5-7+ years.
