Wednesday, September 5, 2012 - Visiting Chartogne-Taillet (Merfy, Champagne): Enjoyed this one a bit warm while walking the vineyards. Nevertheless, this was enjoyable, refreshing and elegant. Perhaps not the flashiest of champagnes but exactly what I'd expect from a basic NV-cuvee. Doesn't get boring at all. Also a wonderful bargain at 20+ euros.
