Nothing harsh about this wine at all as it seems to blend just fine but, it does lack structure, a reasonable finish and that "velvet" that makes a wine worth remembering. I have had the '96 CDM and I think it is better--which reminds me, every time I have the same wine in both '95 and '96, I always think the '96 shows better. I believe there is value in the Chateau and I would buy newer vintages but not this one again.
