Monday, December 30, 2013 - Very lively, lifted nose of spiced red berries, lilac, sous bois, and spice. Medium bodied on the palate with wonderful acidity and energy, boasting primary brambly berries and loam as well as finishing peppered game, savory spice, and dried flowers. This was surprisingly lithe and balanced in a ripe vintage, and therefore one to seek out in 2009. Should improve in the cellar as well. Drink or hold.
