Friday, July 10, 2015 - This is a big, tannic, and structured wine but a brooding boy right now which makes it a bit difficult to enjoy without food. Opened much too young but showing great potential. It's dark in color and flavor profile.

Nose: dark blackberry, black cherry, spice, and tobacco. Even some floral notes show through. Palate: The rich black fruit and terroir that I believe will come through with cellaring an additional 3-5 years is covered a bit by the gripping tannins that dominate at the moment. Underneath, a fairly complex and layered profile awaits.
89 now, 91+ - 92 with time.
