Sunday, July 19, 2015 - If there's a lesson here, it's wasted on me (because this was my last bottle). The lesson is/was that this wine needs air and/or time in the bottle. Opened about an hour before drinking. Black raspberries on the nose and on the palate. Quite rich and viscous. Black pepper and various unidentified spices (not herbs). The fruit danced on my tongue (seriously) for 20 to 30 seconds after swallowing. Not at all hot, port-like, or raisiny. Terrific Zin.
