90 Points

Wednesday, January 23, 2013 - 2010 Bordeaux UGC Chicago (The Drake Hotel, Chicago IL): Nose: This nose is certainly on the tight side, but reveals tones of dark red cherries, a solid dose of new oak, leather tones, and spice box.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with some chewy tannins and medium acidity. The structure is on the bigger side with tones of dark red cherries, new oak, cranberries, some leather and a touch of spice box tones.

Overall: The oak wasn't too big on this. It was certainly there, but it didn't seem to be covering up everything else. This is very young, and the structure is imposing. It did have a more complete feel than other Margauxs.
