Sunday, October 30, 2016 - Very dark ruby. Expressive nose of toasted oak, dark fruit, bakery and a touch of forest. Impressive and full bodied entry on the palate. Boom this places itself rich and ripe in your mouth, modern for sure but the terrific 2010 vintage provides freshness and grip, so it remains Medoc in style and drinkable. Not a fan of this modern wine usually but this sample is hard to dislike. Surprisingly drinkable tonight but better to wait for more secondary aromas to emerge. 93-94
