Full, deep nose quite elegant. Subtle spice but a bit too oaky (coconut). Dark, cool black fruit. Is this too modern, or does it have elegance as well?
Medium-fullish, complex, very concentrated, dense, slightly sweet-fruitish palate. Ripe but prominent tannins. Violets, oak and black currant.
Modern style Bordeaux that does not speak of place - more winemaking. But of course the quality is there. We prefer more old-school style, but clearly this was a bit too much on the young side. Better wait 10 years.
